For many children in Yolo County, the school week offers more than education, it is reliable access to meals. With rising cost of living, many families in our community are struggling to keep up with rent, groceries, utilities and other expenses. Children need reliable access to food over the weekend now more than ever.
For ten years, STEAC has worked alongside compassionate, community donors to ensure children have access to the food they need to grow and thrive. Our Food Packs for Kids Program provides school children with nutritious, kid-friendly foods to bridge the gap between school meals and the weekend.
In the 2025/26 fiscal year, STEAC distributed 17,021 food packs in Davis, Winters and Woodland. With your support, we can increase our impact and continue our expansion efforts in Yolo County to further assist children in our neighborhoods.
$250 provides 40 packs, enough to cover one child for an entire school year.
