Robin Neuman

Robin began volunteering at our former STEAC Food Closet in 2016, but her involvement with the organization began years before that. For several years while working at Sutter Hospital in Davis, Robin helped coordinate her hospital lab so that they could partake in the yearly STEAC Holiday-Adopt-A-Family program. When she retired, she was looking to become more involved with STEAC and in 2017 she was given the opportunity to become the program coordinator for the Food Packs for Kids program.

“I have a hard time knowing kids go hungry and I know they have a hard time focusing in school with empty stomachs. This motivates me to keep the program going even through challenges like Covid-19.”

“We were fearful the program might stop, but since the pandemic began we have been coordinating with the DJUSD Nutrition Department and we have seen that the need for kids packs has been there… we knew we needed to continue,” she states.

Robin enjoys being part of the STEAC team because she likes making a difference for kids and for the community. She adds, “I really enjoy working with people who are so giving and the staff is helpful. Together we all want to make a difference.”\

Thank you Robin for all the hard work you put into making this program a success.
