Speaker Series: Yolo Food Bank

September 18, 2024

Nourishing Our Communities Through Partnerships

The Yolo Food Bank and STEAC have partnered for many years to help feed our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Most notably, the Yolo Food Bank’s Partner Agency Store allows STEAC and other local agencies to purchase various food items at a steep low price. This allows our dollar to go further and obtain more food to distribute through all of our food programs.

Join us as Lorena Gonzalez, Yolo Food Bank’s Partner Agency Coordinator, talks about her role at the Yolo Food Bank, shares information about program updates, and more.

About the Speaker Series

As part of STEAC’s mission, we are committed to enlarging the social awareness of the community to provide opportunities for local citizens to help others in need. It is this second part of our mission that was the impetus for creating our Speaker Series events.

The Speaker Series provides a forum for local experts in the fields related to STEAC’s mission to share their knowledge and perspective to our STEAC community of staff, volunteers and donors. Our intention is to add to the community conversation around poverty to increase public awareness and inform our actions as individuals and an organization.

If you have suggestions or ideas on who could be a speaker, please email us at [email protected].
