2026 Education Scholarship

Applications open April-July 15, 2026.

Applications for the 2026 STEAC Education Scholarship are now open! 

This Scholarship aims to support low-income community college students with their higher education by providing $1,000 in funds. Students are able to use funds to pay for school supplies, tuition, or basic needs.

New for the 2026 application cycle, we have extended the schools and campuses that are eligible for this program. Please review the scholarship requirements below to ensure you meet the application guidelines. 

Requirements

  • Must be a Yolo County resident
  • 18 years or older
  • Enrolled in one of the following schools for the 2026 fall semester:
    • Woodland Community College, main campus and Colusa County Campus
    • Sacramento City College, main campus, West Sacramento, and Davis campuses
    • American River College
  • Meet STEAC Income Guidelines or be a 2026/27 Pell Grant recipient
  • Minimum 12 units completed
  • 2.0 or greater overall GPA

Additional Information

Recipients will be awarded payment in the form of a check. The check must be collected in person during the award celebration event in August. This is a one-time award if granted

What you will need

  1. Complete the STEAC Education Scholarship application (link below). 
  2. Submit all required documents as requested on the application. 
  3. Attach a Statement of Need based on the writing prompts provided in the application.
