Big Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour fundraising event coordinated by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation to help local non-profits raise funds in support of their mission. 

Since 1967, STEAC has offered a helping hand to Yolo County neighbors in need with assistance for basic necessities. Today, STEAC supports low-income families with rent, bill payments, food, and more. We would not be able to provide this assistance without the help from community donations. 

STEAC Impact in 2022/23

• 200,000+ pounds of food distributed to community members facing food insecuriy
• 11,400+ weekend food packs distributed to Davis school children in need
• 260 families avoided an eviction
• 39 families moved into permanent housing
• 2,400 bus passes were distributed to community members to help with transportation to work, medical visits, and more
• 37 local community college students received assistance for their textbook purchases
• And much more!
