Food Pantry Volunteer
Join STEAC’s mission to provide monthly grocery assistance including fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples to low-income Davis and Yolo County residents in need of five days of meals per household member. Volunteers are essential in making this service possible.
- Time Commitment: 1–2 hours, 2–4 hours

Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry 20+ lbs.
- Client facing - over 18 only.
- Mainly standing required.
- A positive attitude and a desire to help your neighbors.
Responsibilities
- Food Packing & Sorting – Prepare food orders using a mix of perishable and non‑perishable items. Inventory shelves and sort incoming donations.
- Pantry Distribution – Assist clients during scheduled pantry sessions: greet them, help with selection or bag assembly, and ensure pantry areas are clean and welcoming.
