Food Drive Volunteer
STEAC holds various food drives year-round including the STEAC Food Project, every other month, and community hosted drives like the annual Realtor’s Food Drive.
- Time Commitment: 1–2 hours, 2–4 hours

Requirements
- Mainly standing required.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20+ lbs.
- A positive attitude and a desire to help your neighbors.
Responsibilities
- Food Sorting – Help unload food from cars and sort according to each category.
- Weigh Station - As boxes fill up in the sorting line, these need to be weighed and put into the vans. Volunteers should be comfortable with bending and lifting boxes of ~25 lbs.
- Bag Sorting - A small, but much required task. Good for teens or individuals who may have some mobility restrictions.
- Food Packs for Kids/ Homeless Packs Assistance - Volunteers will help set aside specific foods that can be used for these programs. The list changes and the team lead will give further instructions day of.
