Today\, neighbors in need can visit the Food Closet once a month and receive about 9 meals for each member of the family. DESCRIPTION:Help end weekend hunger for our local students and join our campaign! \nThe Food Packs for Kids Program has been providing weekend meals to low-income\, food insecure children in Davis since 2016. Weekend hunger is a real issue for many struggling families as some students come to rely on their school lunches to meet their meals for the day. DESCRIPTION:Scouting for Food Drive is an annual food drive event put on by local Scout troops to benefit the STEAC Food Pantry. This is one of STEAC’s largest food drive events of the year and we hope you will consider making a food donation. If you receive a door hanger or mail announcement\, this means your neighborhood is participating. Scouts will be driving around collecting food beginning at 9am. Please leave bags in a visible location and near your curb/porch. \nAt this time we are collecting any non-perishable food items that are unopened and unexpired. Items that are unlabeled or damaged are not able to be distributed to clients; save our volunteers some time and avoid putting these in your donation pile. Thank you for supporting our mission!
